SLVREC Cutting Off Electric To Paying Customers At Christmas Time Is Old Extortion Tactic.

SLVREC waiting until the holidays to force the smart meters on you is an old tactic. These pieces of human garbage at the San Luis Valley Rural Electrical Cooperative think extortion is just good business. Check out the video below to see that this is not a new extortion scheme. It goes back to at least 2011. I guess the extortion has a better chance of working when they can leave their “customers” in the dark when it’s cold outside. Why would the employees even participate in this obvious criminal activity. These garbage people can’t even be original. It’s all for us!

To think it’s all so we can “better manage our usage”. Are you starting to get it now? They wait until the holidays when you have no money, it’s cold outside, you are possibly expecting to entertain, etc…

Here is the actual law:

PUBLIC LAW 109–58—AUG. 8, 2005
Each electric utility shall offer each of its customer classes, and provide individual customers upon customer request, a time-based rate schedule under which the rate charged by the electric utility varies during different time periods and reflects the variance, if any, in the  utility’s costs of generating and purchasing electricity at the wholesale level.
Each electric utility subject to subparagraph (A) shall provide each customer requesting a  time-based rate with a time-based meter capable of enabling the utility and customer to offer and receive such rate, respectively.

Educating  consumers on the availability, advantages, and benefits of advanced metering  and communications technologies,  including the funding of demonstration or pilot projects.

The customer is supposed to be requesting a smart meter to take advantage of wholesale pricing during off peak hours. This is a far cry from the utility cutting you off during the holidays for not wanting one. You have to wonder are they criminals or just stupid?

Furthermore It is a federal crime to wiretap or to use a machine to capture the communications of others without court approval, unless one of the parties has given their prior consent. It is likewise a federal crime to use or disclose any information acquired by illegal wiretapping or electronic eavesdropping.
